Welcome to VitroTech Glass (“VitroTech,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing vitrotechglass.earth (the “Site”) or booking any glazing or window-repair service (collectively, the “Services”), you (“you” or the “Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use the Site or schedule Services.
 

1. Definitions
 

  • Customer – the individual or legal entity ordering Services from VitroTech.

  • Order – any approved quote, online booking, email confirmation, or signed agreement describing the work to be performed.

  • Service Area – Orange, Riverside, and San Diego Counties and any additional areas published on the Site.
     

2. Scope of Services
 

VitroTech specializes in dual-pane glass replacement, foggy-window repair, hardware upgrades, and related residential glazing. We do not perform full-frame structural alterations unless expressly stated in your Order.
 

3. Quotes & Pricing
 

  1. All quotes are free, valid for 30 calendar days, and subject to verification of measurements at the jobsite.

  2. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable sales tax unless otherwise noted.

  3. Discovery of unforeseen conditions (e.g., concealed dry-rot, stucco damage) may require a revised quote.
     

4. Scheduling & Cancellations
 

  1. Online calendar bookings are requests until confirmed in writing by VitroTech.

  2. Please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations inside 24 hours may incur a $75 trip fee.

  3. Weather, supply-chain delays, or emergencies may require us to adjust your appointment; we will notify you promptly.
     

5. Payment Terms
 

  1. A 50 % deposit is due upon Order approval for custom-fabricated glass. The balance is due immediately upon substantial completion.

  2. We accept major credit cards, checks, and ACH transfers. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee plus bank charges.
     

6. Product, Workmanship & Breakage Warranties
 

6.1 High-Performance Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) – 20-Year Limited Warranty
 

All IGUs installed by VitroTech are warranted for twenty (20) years from the installation date (for as long as the original purchaser owns the home) against:
 

  • Seal failure resulting in fogging or moisture between panes

  • Glass-clarity defects such as distortion, inclusions, or blemishes

  • Thermal-stress cracks caused by a manufacturing defect

  • Low-E coating degradation (peeling, spotting, or discoloration)
     

6.2 Workmanship – 2-Year Warranty
 

VitroTech provides a two-year workmanship warranty covering:

  • Proper sealing and setting of the glass

  • Alignment or operational issues directly caused by our installation

  • Frame preparation and exterior/interior caulking
     

6.3 Accidental Glass Breakage – 5-Year Protection
 

For five (5) years after installation, each covered unit is eligible for one-time free glass replacement (standard labor and materials included) in the event of accidental breakage. This protection does not extend to extreme weather events, structural movement, vandalism, or misuse.
 

6.4 Exclusions
 

The above warranties do not cover:

  • Damage from structural settlement or movement, impact, vandalism, or severe weather

  • Scratches, chips, or surface damage occurring after installation

  • Failures due to improper use, alteration, or third-party tampering
     

6.5 Warranty Transfers
 

The IGU and workmanship warranties may be transferred once to a subsequent homeowner within 60 days of the property’s sale. Written notice and a $75 transfer fee are required.
 

6.6 Filing a Warranty Claim
 

To initiate a claim, email info@vitrotechglass.earth or call (760) 904-0935. We will schedule a no-cost inspection; if the issue is covered, repairs or replacement will be completed promptly.
 

7. Limitations of Warranty & Liability
 

Thermal stress, impact, or spontaneous breakage of tempered glass can occur. Except as expressly provided in Section 6, VitroTech is not liable for breakage caused by misuse, settlement of the structure, acts of nature (e.g., earthquakes), or code-noncompliant glazing requested by the Customer. Safety glass is installed where required by code; if you request non-safety glazing, you assume all associated risks.
 

8. Customer Responsibilities
 

  • Provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area (move furniture, blinds, security sensors, etc.).

  • Secure pets and inform us of any alarm systems.

  • Verify that delivered glass sizes and styles match your Order before installation.
     

9. Limitation of Liability
 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VitroTech’s total liability under any theory shall not exceed the price paid for the specific Services giving rise to the claim. Under no circumstances are we liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
 

10. Indemnification
 

You agree to indemnify and hold VitroTech, its owners, employees, and subcontractors harmless from any third-party claims arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Site, or (c) your negligence at the jobsite.
 

11. Intellectual Property
 

All content on the Site—including text, graphics, logos, and photos—is the property of VitroTech or its content suppliers and protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. Reproduction or distribution without written permission is prohibited.
 

12. Privacy & Data Security
 

Your submission of personal information through the Site is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference.
 

13. Third-Party Links
 

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. VitroTech does not control or endorse those sites and is not responsible for their content or practices.
 

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction therein.
 

15. Changes to These Terms
 

VitroTech may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the Site. Continued use of the Site or Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
